Patrick Kelly Jones is a member of both professional actor unions, SAG-AFTRA and AEA. As a professional, he has performed in over 50 plays across the country in addition to numerous workshops and play readings. He holds an MFA in Acting from Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House.
“This is what training and craft and mastery look like, and it feels like a luxury to see them on clear and lavish display in a world so often skeptical of expertise. Jones communicates not just that his character is lying; you see how he comes up with an idea, then tries out how it sounds, then feels tremendously satisfied with himself, all within a moment. “ Lily Janiak, critic for the San Francisco Chronicle reviewing The Importance of Being Earnest at the Aurora Theater.
"One of the Bay area’s most versatile performers, Patrick Kelly Jones has a field day as Crispin, milking comic moments for all they’re worth." George Heymont of the Huffington Post reviewing The Heir Apparent at the Aurora Theater.
"Terrific", "A Particular Delight", "Mesmerizing." Robert Hurwitt, critic, describing Patrick Kelly Jones in three separate reviews for the San Francisco Chronicle (Gem of the Ocean and It's A Wonderful Life at the Marin Theater Company and Salvage at the Shotgun Players)
"Jones steals every scene he’s in and a few he isn’t with his wonderfully deadpan delivery of groaner puns and anachronisms...(he) beautifully captures the staging’s blend of wisecracking, craft and hammy theatricality. He puts the buckle in the swash and then some." Karen D'Souza for the San Jose Mercury News reviewing Peter and the Starcatcher at TheatreWorks.
Currently Patrick is only performing sporadically. Check out the "WHAT'S NEW' page to see what he's up to. See his resume below for a selected list of credits.
